You will probably want to consider talking to several different doulas to find the right person for your needs and desires for your birth.
To find a compatible doula, you might consider asking the following questions:
- What training have you had?
- What credentials have you earned? Which organization did you go through?
- Tell me (us) about your experience with birth, personally and as a doula.
- What do your services include?
- When and where do you usually join women in labor?
- What types of comfort measures do you offer?
- Do you work with a backup doula? May we meet her?
- What is your fee?
- Do you have references?

You can obtain the names and phone numbers of several doulas by visiting our "find a doula" pages linked below or by calling the Utah Doula Association at 1-888-838-1456.
This will connect you to our voice mail system. Please leave your name, number and location, and we will get back to you shortly with the names and numbers
of several doulas in your area.
Fees will vary based on experience and services offered. However, no woman will be denied labor support due to inability to pay.
